Cebolal
Alentejo
Nestled in the serene village of Vale das Éguas, within Santiago do Cacém's municipality along the Alentejo Coast, Herdade do Cebolal embodies a rich family heritage dating back to 1890. Passed down through generations, this cherished project is now under the thoughtful stewardship of the 4th and 5th generations: Isabel and her son, Luís Lufinha Mota Capitão.
The knowledge inherited over time is fortified by enduring values, unwavering ethics, a deep sense of responsibility, and a profound respect for both humanity and nature. This shared ethos defines them as a close-knit family of wine artisans who honor the authenticity of their terroir. The result is wines imbued with character, a commitment to environmental stewardship, and a steadfast dedication to minimal chemical intervention.
