Dominio Vicari
Lisboa
Dominio Vicari is a family-run venture located in the heart of the Serra Gaúcha wine region in Brazil and the Lisbon wine region of Portugal, led by Lizete Vicari and her winemaker son, José Augusto Vicari Fasolo. The project focuses on producing spontaneous fermentation wines with minimal intervention and without oenological additives.
In 2018, José Augusto embarked on a project to transition a vineyard to organic and natural winemaking in Portugal, captivated by the Atlantic terroir of Torres Vedras. In 2019, Lizete and José acquired an old winery in Maxial, just 40 km from Lisbon, a mere 10 km from the sea.
Starting in October 2020, they took charge of converting and vinifying a small vineyard of Tinta Roriz and Castelão, producing approximately 4,000 kilograms of grapes in the 2021 harvest.
Dominio Vicari creates soulful, artisanal wines, crafted uniquely with wild yeasts, no wood, no clarification or filtration, and without the addition of sulfur dioxide, allowing the grapes' full potential to shine through.
