The Tubarão Wines project embarked on its journey in 2019, driven by a core mission to rekindle and safeguard the vineyard heritage in the fertile fields nestled between Póvoa de Varzim and Apúlia. Simultaneously, in that very year, they initiated a modest production of exclusively red wines, harvested from vines meticulously cultivated on branches, employing the traditional pergola method.
Tubarão Wines remains steadfast in preserving the time-honored production techniques synonymous with Portugal's northern coast, spanning from the meticulous care of the vineyards to the artful craftsmanship in the winery. Looking ahead to 2024, the project is poised to mark a significant milestone as they embark on their inaugural plantation endeavor, all the while staying true to their deep-rooted connection with the traditional production methods that have defined their journey thus far.
